Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan led a review meeting with former ISRO Chairman K. Radhakrishnan to assess readiness for the upcoming NEET-UG re-examination on June 21. The meeting aimed to enhance exam security and ensure a smooth conduct of the test, one of the largest in the country. K. Radhakrishnan, heading the High-Powered Steering Committee for NTA reforms, oversaw the arrangements.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Education and NTA participated in the meeting. Notably, the NTA Director General presented additional security measures to maintain transparency during the review. The focus was on strengthening surveillance systems, monitoring mechanisms, and coordination at exam centers to prevent irregularities.
Education Minister Pradhan emphasized the government’s commitment to a fair and secure examination process. He highlighted the need to provide adequate facilities and a student-friendly environment at all exam centers nationwide. The NEET-UG re-exam is scheduled across 5,400 centers in 550 cities, with extensive preparations to ensure a hassle-free experience for students.
The review meeting reflects the ongoing efforts towards exam reforms and transparency in national-level tests. The Ministry of Education and NTA are collaborating closely to boost confidence among students and parents by enhancing security protocols and operational efficiency.
