Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited the National Testing Agency (NRA) headquarters to oversee arrangements for the NEET-UG 2026 retest scheduled for June 21. He emphasized the commitment to conducting a flawless exam and ensuring timely result announcements. Pradhan assured students and parents of a smooth NEET examination this time, with results being declared promptly to minimize disruptions in students’ learning.
Highlighting the importance of maintaining confidentiality during the retest, Pradhan stressed the need for stringent measures from question paper preparation to the secure delivery of exam papers to centers. He mentioned the involvement of senior government officials, including the Prime Minister, in overseeing the process to prevent any recurrence of past mistakes. Pradhan also addressed the ongoing investigation into the paper leak, expressing confidence in the CBI’s detailed examination of irregularities that occurred recently.
Regarding the two individuals arrested in connection with the paper leak, Pradhan called for their swift prosecution and exemplary punishment to deter future misconduct. He emphasized the need for a thorough assessment of their actions, filing of appropriate charges, and expeditious trials in fast-track courts to ensure justice is served. Pradhan reiterated the government’s commitment to upholding the integrity of the examination system and holding accountable those involved in any malpractice.
