Election campaigning for the Assam Assembly polls has intensified as top Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) heavyweights criss-cross the state to rally support for party candidates.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to campaign for the BJP in Assam, addressing a rally at Missamari under the Barchala Assembly constituency in Sonitpur district. This move aims to bolster support for BJP candidate Ritubaran Sharma ahead of the crucial polls.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also actively campaigning across Assam, scheduled to address multiple rallies in Golakganj, Dudhnai, and Palashbari. His focus remains on showcasing the achievements of the BJP-led government and criticizing opposition parties on governance and development issues.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of Assam recently led a strategic meeting at the state BJP headquarters in Guwahati, concentrating on the Dispur Assembly constituency. The discussions revolved around booth-level management, voter outreach, and campaign coordination, indicating the party’s comprehensive approach to retaining power in Assam.
