The Election Commission of India has initiated door-to-door enumeration in Telangana as part of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are distributing enumeration forms for a week, starting Thursday, and conducting visits to distribute and collect the forms. Each BLO is responsible for approximately 800 to 1,000 electors and will make multiple visits to households.
BLOs are providing electors with pre-printed forms, with instructions to fill in details and return the original form during subsequent visits. In cases where electors are unavailable, the form will be handed over to an adult member of the family. Electors can also contact BLOs through various means if they have not received the form, including using the contact number provided on the official website.
Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy mentioned that electors can submit their enumeration forms digitally through the ECI app or the official website. The door-to-door enumeration process, which involves no collection of documents, will continue until July 27. Over 36,000 BLOs have been deployed for this task across the state, with supervisors and senior officials overseeing the process.
