The Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Phase III of electoral rolls in Delhi is underway smoothly, with over 22% of enumeration forms already distributed since the drive began on June 30, 2026. The objective is to ensure the accuracy of the electoral roll by including all eligible citizens and excluding ineligible individuals.

As per the latest report from the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi, 33,14,116 enumeration forms have been distributed across all 13 districts, covering 22.84% of the total 1,45,10,298 electors in the national capital. Out of these, 1,02,308 forms have been digitised, representing 0.71% of the total electorate.

Notably, while distribution has shown positive progress, the digitisation process is still in its early stages, indicating active collection and verification of details by field teams. The New Delhi district leads with a distribution percentage of 31.41%, followed closely by the North district at 31.36%, and the North West district at 29.84%.

The East district reported the lowest distribution at 18.37%, with South East at 19.01%. Other districts like South West (21.71%), Central North (22.70%), and Outer North (23.56%) are progressing moderately. Field officers are diligently updating voter information, removing deceased or shifted voters’ names, and enrolling eligible new electors.

This revision process is critical for future elections as it aims to enhance the accuracy and transparency of the electoral rolls. Officials urge citizens to cooperate with the enumeration teams, provide accurate details, and ensure proper enrollment or updates of their names. Authorities are optimistic that distribution and digitisation figures will significantly increase in the upcoming weeks.

The ongoing drive underscores the Election Commission’s dedication to establishing a reliable and error-free electoral roll for Delhi. This proactive revision is expected to boost public trust in the electoral system by ensuring the inclusion of every legitimate voter and maintaining clean and credible rolls.
