The Embassy of India in Kuwait recently organized a blood donation camp at Adan Hospital and Blood Bank to mark World Blood Donor Day. The event, held in collaboration with Blood Donors Kerala (BDK) and the Federation of Indian Doctors (FID), saw a significant turnout from the Indian community in Kuwait.
Ambassador Paramita Tripathi and Sheikh Hamoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Governor of Al Ahmadi Governorate, inaugurated the camp, with the Governor being the first donor. The Embassy expressed gratitude for the support received, emphasizing the shared values of compassion, service, and the strong India-Kuwait friendship.
Ambassador Tripathi commended the Indian community’s eagerness to contribute through blood donation, highlighting the ongoing commitment to organizing such events. Additionally, a curtain-raiser yoga session was conducted at the Gulf SPIC Labour Camp in preparation for the International Day of Yoga 2026, with a special mention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the camp in December 2024.
The yoga session witnessed enthusiastic participation from Indian nationals, focusing on the Common Yoga Protocol and the theme of Yoga for Healthy Ageing. Ambassador Tripathi also distributed sports kits, emphasizing the importance of health, fitness, and active lifestyles in alignment with PM Modi’s initiatives for Khelo India and Fit India.
