Several prominent figures from the entertainment industry gathered to bid farewell to the late singing legend Asha Bhosle in Mumbai. The last rites of Asha Bhosle took place at Shivaji Park, with members from the music, film, political, and business sectors paying their respects. Personalities like Aamir Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Tabu, Vivek Oberoi, Anu Malik, Anup Jalota, Sudesh Bhosale, Shaan, Ramesh Sippy, Padmini Kolhapure, and others were present during the final rites.
Shaan and Sudesh Bhosale performed a musical tribute by singing Asha Bhosle’s famous song ‘Abhi Na Jao Chhodkar’ at the ceremony. Political leaders including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Uddhav Thackeray, and Raj Thackeray also paid their respects. Shreya Ghoshal honored the late legend during her London concert by singing some of Asha Bhosle’s timeless classics.
Asha Bhosle received a guard of honor at her Mumbai residence before her mortal remains were taken to the Shivaji Park crematorium. Her cremation was conducted with full state honors and her mortal remains were draped in the tricolor. Veteran actress Helen and Poonam Dhillon were among those who paid their last respects and offered condolences to the family.
Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter Zanai Bhosle was emotional while interacting with visitors at the singer’s residence. Asha Bhosle, who passed away on Sunday, was a recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
