Actress Erika Eleniak is set to return as Shauni McClain in the upcoming reboot of the iconic series ‘Baywatch’. Shauni, a former Baywatch lifeguard turned Santa Monica city councilwoman, will make a guest appearance to assist Hobie Buchannon in launching the annual “Beach Games” against the Coast Guard.
The reboot will also feature David Chokachi reprising his role as Cody Madison, alongside a cast including Stephen Amell, Jessica Belkin, Shay Mitchell, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone, Brooks Nader, Noah Beck, Livvy Dunne, and Nadia Gray. The new series, produced by Fox and Fremantle, continues the original storyline of ‘Baywatch’ and is helmed by showrunner Matt Nix and executive producer McG.
Set to premiere on Fox during the 2026-2027 season, the ‘Baywatch’ reboot received a California state tax incentive for filming in Los Angeles. The show, known for its blend of action, drama, and iconic slow-motion beach runs, gained immense popularity in the 1990s, propelling stars like David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson to global fame despite mixed critical reviews.
