Essar Energy Transition celebrates a milestone year in 2025 at the Stanlow refinery in Ellesmere Port, Liverpool, with record domestic sales post a significant investment phase. The company’s strategic approach has led to notable growth in operational throughput, showcasing efficiency and reliability at the Stanlow site.
The year 2025 witnessed remarkable performance across all business units of Essar Energy Transition. Retail expansion efforts have resulted in an increased number of Essar-branded retail forecourts and a successful “price drop” campaign driving consumer demand. The company’s aviation sector has also expanded, now serving 10 major airports directly.
In addition to its refinery operations at Stanlow, Essar Energy Transition has bolstered UK fuel security through strategic supply points at various locations. A substantial investment in refinery improvement projects, including the installation of the UK’s first hydrogen-ready furnace, underlines the company’s commitment to decarbonization.
