Majority of the exit polls on the West Bengal Assembly elections foresee a tight competition between the ruling Trinamool Congress and the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party. The polls suggest a potential end to Mamata Banerjee’s 15-year rule and a chance for the BJP to take over.
According to various surveys, the BJP is expected to secure between 150 to 175 Assembly seats, while the Trinamool Congress is projected to win between 118 and 138 seats. Other parties, including Congress and the Left Front–All India Secular Front alliance, are estimated to secure between two and six seats.
Different exit polls show varying outcomes, with the BJP’s projected seat range between 146 and 208, the Trinamool Congress between 85 and 140, and other parties securing a few seats. While some surveys suggest a clear majority for the Trinamool Congress, others predict a close race or a potential hung Assembly.
