A tragic explosion occurred at Real Ispat & Power Limited in Baloda Bazar district, Chhattisgarh, resulting in the death of seven laborers and injuring ten others. The blast, which took place at the DSC coal furnace, has raised concerns about workplace safety in heavy industries. Eyewitnesses reported a massive plume of black smoke and flames engulfing the furnace area.

Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed condolences and urged for proper medical treatment and compensation for the victims’ families. The injured workers were rushed to a nearby hospital, with their conditions being closely monitored. Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion, with no official statement from the company officials yet.

The blast exposed laborers to intense heat and burning material, causing fatal burns to the victims. Firefighters managed to control the blaze, preventing further spread, while police secured the area and initiated post-mortem examinations. The incident has sparked demands for stricter safety measures in industrial plants across Chhattisgarh.
