External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar visited the National Historic Museum in Sofia, Bulgaria. He shared pictures from his visit and appreciated Bulgaria’s rich history and cultural heritage showcased in the museum’s artifacts. EAM Jaishankar arrived in Bulgaria for an official visit and is scheduled to hold discussions with Bulgarian officials.
After his engagements in Bulgaria, EAM Jaishankar will travel to Finland to participate in the 14th edition of the Kultaranta Talks. The talks will focus on the theme ‘A World in Transition: Global, Regional and Local Perspectives,’ and EAM Jaishankar will also engage with Finnish leadership during his visit.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently congratulated Rumen Radev and his Progressive Bulgaria party on their victory in the Bulgarian parliamentary elections. PM Modi expressed eagerness to enhance the friendly ties and cooperation between India and Bulgaria, emphasizing the longstanding warm relationship between the two nations.
India and Bulgaria share deep-rooted people-to-people contacts and cultural connections that precede their diplomatic relations established in 1954. Despite political changes over the years, both countries have maintained a close and multi-dimensional relationship. The bond between India and Bulgaria has grown into a strong friendship based on mutual understanding and continuous cooperation.
