Actor Fahadh Faasil recently announced that he will portray the antagonist in the highly anticipated thriller ‘Patriot’ directed by Mahesh Narayanan, which stars Malayalam cinema icons Mammootty and Mohanlal. The film is set to premiere globally on April 23 this year. Fahadh also confirmed a sequel to his hit movie ‘Aavesham’, stating that ‘Aavesham 2’ is in the works and may release around 2027 or 2028.
The team behind ‘Patriot’ shared that Mohanlal has finished dubbing for his role in the movie. A video posted on the film’s official Instagram account shows Mohanlal giving a thumbs-up after completing the dubbing session. The caption read, “Some voices do not just speak, they define moments. Earlier this year on January 4, the filmmakers announced the completion of the film’s shooting. They expressed their gratitude, saying, “That’s a wrap. Blood, sweat, belief. #PATRIOT marches on. See you on the Big screen.” Additionally, a behind-the-scenes video featuring the cast was shared to mark the occasion.
‘Patriot’ boasts a star-studded cast including Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, and Revathy alongside the two Malayalam superstars. The teaser released last year heightened anticipation among fans and cinephiles, hinting at a gripping narrative. The teaser suggests that the movie revolves around a group of individuals striving to counter an illicit government initiative to surveil its populace.
