A tragic incident unfolded on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway as a family of five faced a fatal car fire allegedly caused by a CNG leak. The victims, residents of Chainpura village in Madhya Pradesh, were returning from Vaishno Devi shrine when the fire erupted near Maujpur. The intense blaze, triggered by the gas leak, claimed the lives of three women, one man, and a young girl, leaving no chance for escape.
The driver, who suffered severe burns while managing to escape, is undergoing treatment at SMS Hospital in Jaipur. Despite efforts by the authorities, the fire rapidly engulfed the vehicle, leading to the tragic demise of all passengers. Laxmangarh Police Station in-charge Neki Ram highlighted the challenges of identifying the victims due to the extensive damage caused by the CNG fire.
Authorities have initiated DNA testing to identify the deceased, with family members notified of the heartbreaking incident. Superintendent of Police Sudhir Chaudhary is overseeing the investigation at the scene, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the devastating car fire.
