A devastating fire engulfed a residence in Talagna village, Sirmaur district, Himachal Pradesh, claiming the lives of six family members. The incident occurred around 2 a.m., leaving only one survivor, identified as Lokender, in critical condition. The deceased include Naresh, Tripta, Kavita, Sarika, Kritika, and Kritik, whose badly charred bodies were challenging to identify.
The fire, suspected to have started from a short circuit, quickly spread, trapping the family with little time to escape. An LPG cylinder explosion exacerbated the blaze, completely destroying the house and also claiming the lives of livestock. This tragedy marks the second fire incident in the state this week, following a fire in Arki town that resulted in 10 fatalities.
The BJP, including leaders like Jagat Prakash Nadda and Jairam Thakur, expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended condolences to the bereaved family. The party has called for swift action from the district administration to provide necessary assistance, compensation, and support to the affected family during this difficult time.
