The 12-hour sit-in protest by Jagan Gurjar’s family outside JLN Hospital in Ajmer concluded after the administration accepted their demands. Led by Jagan’s son Asaram Gurjar, the protest ended following negotiations and the acceptance of a five-point charter of demands. The demands included security for the family, transfer of Jagan’s brother from Ajmer jail, a probe against jail officials, security during the funeral, and an inquiry against the Dholpur SHO.
In response, the administration assured security for Jagan Gurjar’s family, providing his son with a Personal Security Officer until the investigation concludes. Jagan’s brother will be moved to Mathura or Bharatpur Jail, and an inquiry into jail officials’ role has been ordered. Pappu Gurjar, along with two others, will receive security for attending Jagan’s last rites, and an investigation against the Dholpur SHO is underway.
The family accepted the written assurance, allowing them to proceed with Jagan Gurjar’s funeral in Bhavutipura village. Asaram had earlier submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister seeking action on their demands. Allegations of a pre-planned conspiracy in Jagan’s killing were made during the protest, with claims of collusion by jail authorities. The investigation into the murder is ongoing, with statements being recorded from jail personnel.
