A tragic road accident on National Highway-31 in Khagaria district, Bihar, resulted in the death of a youth and left three individuals injured early Friday morning. The deceased, identified as Raju Mandal, was a student leader and district president of a prominent political party in Bihar. Raju Mandal lost his life on the spot when the car he was traveling in was struck by a speeding truck near the Pasraha police station area.
The impact of the collision was severe, leading to Raju Mandal’s immediate death, while the three other occupants of the car sustained serious injuries and were reported to be in critical condition. Raju Mandal and his companions were returning from a wedding ceremony in Muzaffarpur when the accident occurred in the early hours of Friday. Upon receiving news of the accident, the Dial-112 emergency response team and Pasraha police station personnel promptly arrived at the scene to initiate rescue operations. The injured individuals were swiftly taken to the Gogri Sub-Divisional Hospital with the assistance of local residents, where they received initial medical aid. Subsequently, due to the severity of their injuries, all three were transferred to a private hospital for advanced treatment.
Police have taken custody of Raju Mandal’s body and sent it for a post-mortem examination following standard legal procedures.
