Several Bollywood celebrities, including Shabana Azmi, Zeenat Aman, and Naseeruddin Shah, have also extended their support to Wangchuk. Shabana Azmi, in a heartfelt plea, called on Wangchuk to end his hunger strike, emphasizing his crucial role in guiding and leading the country. She lauded his stand against injustice and truth, urging him to prioritize his health to continue inspiring and supporting students in their fight for justice.
Sonam Wangchuk, currently on the 19th day of his hunger strike at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, is protesting against alleged irregularities in competitive exams. His demands include the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan due to concerns regarding examination system flaws.
