A female software engineer, Shampa Pandey, tragically lost her life in a dispute over a penthouse being used for commercial activities in her residential complex in Indore. Her husband disclosed that due to persistent late-night disturbances caused by the penthouse, the family had decided to sell their flat and relocate. Shampa had already chosen a new flat at DB Pride before the unfortunate incident occurred.
Shampa’s husband, Saurabh Pandey, emphasized that her decisions held great importance for the family, and her untimely death shattered all their plans. The couple, with two young sons and elderly parents to care for, was in the process of finalizing the move to a new location to escape the disturbances caused by the commercial activities in the society. The incident occurred amidst a heated altercation involving the Chaudhary family, who owned multiple penthouses in the complex.
The local municipal councillors, in a meeting on March 22, had unanimously opposed the commercial use of the penthouse, a decision that was accepted by Kuldeep Choudhary, whose son was involved in the fatal incident. Following the tragic event, residents demanded justice and expressed their anger towards the accused father and son. The police investigation is ongoing, with both Kuldeep and his son Mohnish under tight security.
Officials from the Indore Municipal Corporation visited the residential complex to assess the properties owned by Choudhary within the society. Despite the community’s distress, only one municipal councillor extended condolences to the grieving family. Shampa Pandey, originally from Jabalpur, was laid to rest on March 27, leaving behind a mourning family and a community seeking justice for her untimely demise.
