In Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur district, a female teacher at Government Senior Secondary School faced suspension for reportedly instructing female students from classes 9 to 11 to undress for a search following money disappearance from her purse. Panic ensued in Liwali village, Bamanwas sub-division, as students shared their distress with families. Outraged parents and villagers protested outside the school, demanding action.
The incident unfolded when teacher Saraswati Meena suspected the missing money was taken by students and compelled them to strip under the pretense of an investigation. Chief Block Education Officer Pratibha Meena intervened promptly upon learning of the situation, gathering details from affected students and informing higher authorities. The Joint Director of School Education (Bharatpur Division) suspended the accused teacher based on the CBEO report.
Furthermore, the school’s vocational education instructor, Vandana Sharma, was relieved of duties and sent back to the service-providing company. Rajasthan’s School Education Department is actively monitoring government schools to ensure student safety and a conducive learning environment. Additional Chief Secretary Rajesh Yadav conducted surprise inspections in Jaipur and Dausa districts, emphasizing the need to address dilapidated school buildings that jeopardize student safety.
