Filmmaker Vashu Bhagnani has refuted claims by producer Ramesh Taurani that the ongoing controversy surrounding the film “Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai” has been resolved. Bhagnani stated that the matter remains unresolved and is currently in court. He emphasized that public statements declaring the issue settled are misleading, as the truth will be revealed through legal proceedings.
Bhagnani explained that his decision to speak up after maintaining silence for a long time is driven by his commitment to uphold his rights. Despite assertions of a resolution, he clarified that the situation has not been addressed legally, ethically, or emotionally. He expressed his intention to advocate for his rights and those of other producers who have faced similar challenges.
The controversy began when Bhagnani filed a lawsuit against Tips Industries and related parties, alleging the unauthorized use of intellectual property associated with his films, including the popular “Biwi No.1.” Addressing the media multiple times, Bhagnani highlighted the ethical dimension of the issue, emphasizing that it transcends financial considerations.
During the trailer launch event of “Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai,” Ramesh Taurani responded to inquiries about the controversy by stating that all issues have been resolved and that the matter is being managed appropriately, considering its legal status. He assured that any future developments would also be addressed effectively, reiterating that the situation is sub judice and under control.
