Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri revealed his upcoming project, ‘Operation Sindoor’, inspired by Lt Gen K. J. S. Dhillon’s book on India’s covert military missions. Teaming up with T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar, the film will depict real incidents that transformed the subcontinent’s security landscape. Agnihotri stated that the movie aims to unveil the narrative behind India’s strategic responses post the Pahalgam terror attack.
The film, titled ‘Operation Sindoor: The Untold Story of India’s Deep Strikes Inside Pakistan’, is a collaboration between Vivek Agnihotri and Bhushan Kumar. It is based on Lt Gen K.J.S. ‘Tiny’ Dhillon’s book, exploring the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack and India’s military actions. Agnihotri emphasized that the story is grounded in reality, aiming to present a clear and factual account through the medium of cinema.
In May 2025, India initiated an armed conflict with Pakistan through Operation Sindoor, following the Pahalgam attack. This military campaign involved missile strikes on Pakistan-based militant groups, targeting terrorism-related infrastructure. The operation was a response to the loss of civilian lives in the Pahalgam attack, with India taking decisive military action against the perpetrators.
