The Final Electoral Roll for 2026 in Puducherry was officially released on Saturday after a Special Intensive Revision exercise directed by the Election Commission of India. The revision, based on a January 1, 2026 qualifying date, involved thorough physical verification of electors, leading to the removal of ineligible names like deceased individuals and duplicates.
The comprehensive exercise, conducted between October 27, 2025, and February 14, 2026, saw 41,492 new voters added through Forms 6, 6A, and 8, while 16,619 names were deleted due to verification and objections. The total electorate in Puducherry now stands at 9,44,211 across 30 Assembly constituencies, with a breakdown of male, female, and third-gender voters.
The final roll, published on February 14, includes 23,033 first-time voters aged 18–19, 12,204 persons with disabilities, and 6,034 senior citizens aged 85 and above. The electoral roll is available for public inspection at Voter Facilitation Centres for seven days, and voters can verify their details and request corrections online or offline.
