At least three individuals lost their lives in a fire that erupted at a coaching center in Lucknow’s Aliganj area. The incident left numerous students trapped inside the building. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath swiftly ordered senior officials to the scene for a prompt rescue operation.
Upon the outbreak of the fire, eight fire tenders were dispatched to the location. Firefighters had to break down a wall of the building to rescue around two dozen trapped victims, including students. Shakeel Ahmed, the elder brother of one student, along with other guardians, rushed to the site upon learning of the situation.
As the fire brigade battled the flames, some students resorted to jumping from upper floors to escape the inferno. The injured were promptly taken to the King George Medical University’s Trauma Centre for medical attention. Adityanath closely monitored the rescue efforts and was regularly updated on the progress by the firefighters.
Specialist doctors and six ambulances were stationed at the scene to provide immediate medical aid and transport the injured to hospitals. The Chief Minister’s Office official stated that Adityanath, upon being informed of the tragedy, directed officials to assess the situation promptly and expedite relief efforts. Adequate medical facilities were also ensured for the injured individuals.
Instructions were issued to maintain vigilance at all administrative levels and to continuously monitor the relief and rescue operations. The administration was directed to stay alert and keep a close eye on the evolving situation to ensure the safety and well-being of all affected parties.
