Panic ensued in Delhi’s Keshav Puram police station vicinity when a fire erupted in a residential dwelling, causing injuries to five individuals. Responding swiftly, three fire tenders and teams from the Keshav Puram police station arrived at the scene to douse the flames.
The blaze originated in a house near the Tri Nagar grain market under the Keshav Puram police station’s jurisdiction around 7:00 a.m. The exact trigger for the fire remains undetermined at present. The Delhi Fire Service was alerted at 7:10 a.m. about the fire on the building’s third floor, prompting the dispatch of three fire tenders and personnel from the Keshav Puram police station and an ambulance.
The fire extensively damaged the house, causing burns to the five occupants. Upon the authorities’ arrival, the injured were promptly transported to a hospital for medical attention. A family member, Preetan, mentioned that the fire initiated from a motor, igniting nearby items, and shared that six individuals reside in their home.
A separate incident on March 24 saw a fire erupt in a plywood warehouse in Delhi’s Bawana Sector-2 industrial zone, leading to a rapid spread of flames and smoke. Despite the deployment of 17 fire tenders by the Delhi Fire Service, no casualties were recorded. Similarly, on March 18, a fire broke out in a building in Palam, Delhi, owned by Rajendra Kashyap, claiming the lives of nine individuals, including three young girls.
