In a significant move after 36 years of exile, the inaugural Global Kashmiri Pandit Heritage Tour & Conclave 2026 is set to take place in Kashmir from June 6 to 14. The event will conclude with a two-day conclave at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre on June 13 and 14, themed “From Exile to Excellence – Kashmiri Pandit Journey of Resilience, Renaissance and Return.”
The initiative aims to reunite displaced Kashmiri Pandits with their roots, sacred sites, cultural heritage, and shared aspirations for the future. A specially curated heritage tour across Kashmir is planned, allowing delegates from India and abroad to explore temples, historical landmarks, and sites significant to Kashmiri Pandit civilization.
Seven community organizations, including Global Kashmiri Pandit Diaspora and others, are collaborating to organize this event with support from over 30 entities globally. The conclave will gather scholars, policymakers, youth representatives, and artists to discuss heritage preservation, cultural revival, and social cohesion, emphasizing the enduring contributions of the Kashmiri Pandit community.
