The much-anticipated mythological action drama ‘Nagabandham’, directed by Abhishek Nama and starring Virat Karrna, unveiled actor Rishabh Sawhney’s appearance as Abdali in the film. Sawhney, known for his role in Bollywood’s ‘Fighter’, impresses with his portrayal of the infamous Afghan Sultan Abdali in the 1750-set film. The first-look poster showcases Sawhney in a powerful stance amidst a war scene, exuding intensity and danger.

Set against a backdrop of a stormy battlefield, the poster captures Sawhney wielding a massive battle axe, surrounded by a formidable army and a pack of menacing wolves. ‘Nagabandham’ narrates Abdali’s conquest in India, highlighting his brutal acts of looting temples and his relentless pursuit of wealth. Director Abhishek Nama commended Sawhney’s performance, praising his convincing portrayal of the complex character of Abdali.

In the film, Abdali is depicted as a ruthless figure driven by ambition and cruelty, willing to go to extreme lengths to uncover the mythical Naga Bandham hidden in the Himalayas. Rishabh Sawhney’s transformation into this challenging character has brought depth and intensity to the role, according to Nama. The cast also includes Nabha Natesh and Iswarya Menon as female leads, supported by seasoned actors like Jagapathi Babu and Murali Sharma.

With a strong technical team and a grand production design, ‘Nagabandham’ promises to deliver a visually captivating experience on the big screen. The film, produced by Kishore Annapureddy and Nishitha Nagireddy, is nearing completion, marking the final stages of its production journey.
