After a brief pause, the Fit India movement’s popular initiative, ‘Sundays on Cycle,’ is set to relaunch in Delhi with a special edition focusing on young leaders. The event will feature the presence of Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, who has been a key figure behind this fitness campaign. Young leaders from across the country attending the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue will participate in this edition.
Olympian Tulika Maan and wrestler Shivani Pawar, known for their sporting achievements, will join the cycling event to promote an active lifestyle. The cycling drive aims to emphasize the connection between youth leadership, nation-building, and physical well-being. The event will kick off from the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, covering a 5-kilometre route through Delhi.
The participants, selected through a rigorous screening process, will also engage in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, a platform graced by the Prime Minister of India and distinguished personalities like astronaut Sudhanshu Shukla, tennis legend Leander Paes, and hockey captain Harmanpreet Kaur. The cycling event, attended by about 300 young leaders, will include fitness activities like zumba and yogasana, promoting a healthy lifestyle and environmental consciousness.
