The 68th edition of Fit India Sundays on Cycle at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Swimming Pool Complex emphasized the importance of holistic fitness. Over 800 participants engaged in various fitness activities, including badminton, table tennis, yoga, and more, ahead of World Health Day. The event featured multiple fitness zones with activities for people of all age groups, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.

Fit India Sundays on Cycle is a collaborative effort by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) with various organizations like the Cycling Federation of India and the Indian Rope Skipping Federation. Participants enjoyed a range of activities, from yoga consultations to smart wall fitness challenges, aimed at enhancing physical and mental well-being. The event, held across all States and Union Territories, aimed to encourage preventive fitness habits and promote overall wellness.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the healthcare community, with support from organizations like the Indian Medical Association and the Indian Red Cross Society. Partnerships with healthcare entities highlighted the importance of combining healthcare and fitness for a balanced lifestyle. The event showcased a blend of recreational and fitness activities, emphasizing the role of daily habits in maintaining wellness.

High-energy activities like Zumba sessions and rope skipping zones energized the venue, while distinguished guests and fitness influencers graced the occasion. Notable personalities like former IPL cricketer Parvinder Awana and Paralympian Pushpendra Singh shared their perspectives on the significance of staying fit. The presence of medical professionals underscored the importance of preventive healthcare and holistic well-being in daily life.

Former cricketer Parvinder Awana emphasized the need for daily fitness habits beyond Sundays, echoing the sentiment of making wellness a priority. Powerlifting champion Mukesh Gehlot expressed his enjoyment at the event, highlighting the positive experience. Paralympian Pushpendra Singh praised the initiative, emphasizing the benefits of staying fit through regular cycling.
