A shocking discovery in Sarsawa town, Uttar Pradesh, left locals in fear and sorrow as five bullet-riddled bodies, including a revenue officer and his family, were found in a locked house. The deceased were discovered in Kaushik Vihar Colony, with the house set for inauguration next month. Police and officials swiftly responded, cordoning off the area and launching a thorough investigation.
Senior Superintendent of Police Ashish Tiwari confirmed the presence of five bodies in the house, identifying the revenue officer, Ashok Rathi, along with his mother, wife, and two sons, all with gunshot wounds. The investigation revealed three pistols at the scene, with initial reports indicating gunshot injuries as the cause of death. Authorities are exploring all angles, including the possibility of murder-suicide, awaiting post-mortem reports and forensic analysis for further insights.
Neighbours described the family as peaceful, with no history of disputes, leaving authorities puzzled about the motive behind the tragic deaths. With no immediate leads, the community mourns the loss as investigations continue to unravel the circumstances leading to the incident. Local MP Imran Masood visited the site, expressing deep sorrow over the family’s demise and urging society to reflect on the underlying causes of such tragedies.
