In Surankote, three bodies were recovered post landslides, floods, and heavy rainfall, with several individuals still missing. Haveli in Poonch witnessed damage to seven houses, resulting in one fatality and another individual in critical condition.
Authorities in Rajouri town evacuated residents from low-lying areas to safety as flash floods engulfed the region, leading to the loss of lives and significant property damage. Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha emphasized the coordinated efforts of various rescue teams and urged residents to remain calm and follow official updates. The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is set to visit the affected areas to assess the situation and provide necessary support.
