At least three individuals are missing, and approximately 20 residences were harmed due to flash floods in Arunachal Pradesh’s Keyi Panyor district. The heavy rainfall over the past 48 hours triggered these floods. The Assam government is on high alert due to heavy rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh, anticipating downstream impacts.

Continuous heavy rain led to landslides along a national highway in Itanagar, causing disruptions in vehicular movement. In the NEEPCO project colony near Poosa, three people went missing as floodwaters inundated the area. Authorities are actively engaged in assessing the damage and coordinating rescue operations.

A State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team has been deployed, and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel are en route to support relief efforts. The North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) has initiated precautionary measures by releasing water from the Ranganadi Dam, suspending power generation temporarily.

The region has experienced heavy rainfall, leading to landslides, flash floods, and infrastructure damage. Disaster management authorities advise residents in vulnerable areas to stay alert. The Assam government is closely monitoring the situation following reports of heavy rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh’s Lower Subansiri district, which may affect downstream areas in Assam.
