In a tragic event in Madhya Pradesh, a forest guard lost his life after being struck by a tractor-trolley during an anti-illegal mining operation in Morena district. The incident took place in Ranpur village under the Dimni police station area when the forest department team was reportedly attacked by the sand mafia. Harkesh Gurjar, the forest guard, was fatally injured while attempting to halt the sand-loaded vehicle.

Senior officials such as Collector Lokesh Kumar Jangid, Superintendent of Police Sameer Saurabh, and Divisional Forest Officer Harishchandra Baghel promptly arrived at the scene to assess the situation. The body of the deceased forest guard was transferred to Morena district hospital for a post-mortem examination. Subsequently, a murder case against unidentified suspects was filed at Dimni police station.

Following the incident, the Congress party criticized the law and order situation in Madhya Pradesh, emphasizing the boldness of criminals. Umang Singhar, Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly, condemned the brutal murder of Harkesh Gurjar, highlighting the diminishing fear of the law among criminals. Singhar accused the government of failing to address the escalating lawlessness, attributing the incident to a governance breakdown and alleged criminal support.
