Former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai strongly criticized recent Pakistani airstrikes in Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, and Paktika regions, resulting in civilian casualties. Karzai denounced these attacks as a violation of neighborly principles, human values, and international laws. He called on Pakistan to cease hostility and engage in a more civilized relationship with Afghanistan.

The Taliban spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid, reported that Pakistan conducted military strikes in various Afghan provinces, leading to civilian deaths, including women and children. These actions have escalated tensions along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, with the Taliban condemning the strikes as infringements on Afghan sovereignty.

Mujahid accused the Pakistani military of targeting civilian homes in some areas, causing casualties, and attacking uninhabited regions in others. He condemned these assaults as devoid of moral values and principles, emphasizing that such actions would not go unanswered. Additionally, Mujahid alleged that Pakistani forces set fire to fuel storage belonging to a private airline near Kandahar International Airport.

The recent hostilities originated from retaliatory operations by Taliban-led Afghan forces against Pakistani military installations in response to prior Pakistani actions targeting militants within Afghan territory. In retaliation, Pakistan initiated ‘Operation Ghazab lil-Haq’ following what it termed as unprovoked firing by Afghan forces across multiple border sectors.
