The investigation revealed a fraudulent scheme where public servants colluded with a contractor to inflate measurements, prepare false records, and release government funds unlawfully. The accused face charges under the Jammu & Kashmir Prevention of Corruption Act and the Ranbir Penal Code. The court has set August 25, 2026, as the next hearing date for the case.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau emphasized its commitment to thorough investigations and holding accountable those involved in corruption and misusing public resources. All accused individuals have been granted bail pending further legal proceedings.
