Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh claimed that land near the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain was allotted to an RSS-linked trust for commercial use. In response, Vishva Hindu Parishad International President Alok Kumar denied the allegations, stating that the RSS only owns land in Nagpur.

Singh alleged that the land near the temple was being used for commercial purposes, including a hotel construction, and demanded an investigation into donation misuse. VHP Chief Alok Kumar criticized Singh for making irresponsible statements, emphasizing that the RSS does not own land nationwide except for its Nagpur headquarters.

VHP General Secretary Surendra Jain criticized Singh’s history and actions, highlighting the Hindu community’s efforts in the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple movement. Singh announced plans to sue in Ayodhya to reclaim a donation for the Ram Temple construction, citing misappropriation concerns and lack of trust in the police.
