Former Mumbai Indians player, Aditya Tare, has suggested that Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) should continue supporting young leg-spinner Suyash Sharma despite his recent struggles. Tare emphasized the need for RCB to strengthen their bowling lineup by entrusting Suyash with more responsibilities rather than relying on part-time bowlers.
Suyash Sharma, who has played nine matches in IPL 2026, has managed to secure only seven wickets so far. In their recent match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Suyash conceded 21 runs in just two overs, raising concerns about his performance.
Tare expressed his belief that RCB has historically faced challenges in finding a reliable sixth bowler and stressed the importance of backing Suyash Sharma. He highlighted the necessity for Suyash to complete his full four-over quota, acknowledging his recent struggles with line and length but emphasizing the significance of trust in his abilities for RCB’s title defense.
Mitchell Marsh’s impressive century, along with contributions from skipper Rishabh Pant and Nicholas Pooran, propelled LSG to a formidable total of 209/3. Despite a valiant effort in the chase, led by skipper Rajat Patidar and Tim David, timely wickets from Prince and Shahbaz Ahmed secured a narrow victory for LSG, restricting RCB to 203/6.
