Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje stressed the significance of girls’ education, stating that it is a fundamental right and not a privilege. She encouraged students to utilize education not just for personal advancement but also to empower others. Raje highlighted how education has historically empowered women to overcome societal constraints and lead independent lives.

Addressing the 82nd Annual Function and Prize Giving Ceremony of Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School in Jaipur, Raje praised the institution’s role in promoting girls’ education. She recounted how the school, founded by Maharani Gayatri Devi in 1943, served as a catalyst for societal change, challenging norms and providing opportunities for young women. Raje emphasized the importance of using education as a tool for self-reliance and societal transformation.

Reflecting on the school’s legacy, Raje commended Maharani Gayatri Devi for advocating girl-child education in Rajasthan, demonstrating that elegance and independence can coexist. She lauded the institution for producing accomplished individuals who have shattered stereotypes and excelled in various fields. Raje highlighted the responsibility that comes with receiving education from a prestigious institution like MGD, urging students to leverage their education for personal growth and social contribution.
