A disturbing incident unfolded in Patna’s Digha area involving a former student of St. Michael’s School who was reportedly abducted and assaulted outside the school. The Patna Police revealed that the involvement of several Class 10 students from the same school is suspected, sparking concerns about security around educational institutions.
The ex-student had visited the school to collect his certificate when, upon exiting the campus, he was forcefully taken into a black Scorpio SUV by four individuals waiting outside. Allegedly, the victim was subjected to physical assault before being driven away from the scene. Prompted by the report, the Patna Police swiftly initiated a search operation and established checkpoints in the vicinity, leading the culprits to abandon the victim near the school before fleeing.
ASP (Law and Order) Krishna Murari Prasad confirmed the incident, suggesting a possible connection to a prior dispute between the former student and some juniors. The police suspect the abduction to be a retaliatory act arising from personal animosity. The victim recounted being abducted and assaulted by a group, prompting ongoing efforts by law enforcement to identify the perpetrators. The police have seized the SUV used in the crime and are delving into its ownership details.
In their investigative efforts, authorities are scrutinizing CCTV footage and other evidence to reconstruct the sequence of events and ascertain the facts surrounding the case. The incident has underscored concerns regarding security outside school premises, with police not only focused on apprehending the suspects but also probing any security oversights that may have facilitated such an incident in broad daylight near a prominent educational institution.
