Former Rahu Panchayat Mukhiya, Sanjay Kumar Yadav, was discovered dead near a tubewell in Raghopur village, Patna district, raising concerns in the area. The deceased’s family suspects foul play, alleging murder, which led to a protest by locals blocking roads. Police were alerted by residents who spotted the body, prompting an investigation into the incident.

A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory in Patna has been summoned to gather evidence from the scene. The family insists on a thorough inquiry and justice for Sanjay’s death, claiming he was deliberately killed and his body concealed. Sanjay Kumar Yadav had a history of criminal cases, including violations under the Arms Act, and was evading authorities in multiple instances.

Authorities are probing potential links between his criminal record and demise, alongside exploring other possible motives. The discovery of the body sparked unrest, with residents blocking roads and engaging in protests, leading to police intervention to restore order. The cause of death remains undetermined, pending further forensic and post-mortem examinations.

Police are examining all angles, including the possibility of homicide, to unravel the circumstances surrounding the former Mukhiya’s death. Security measures have been heightened in the vicinity to prevent any escalation of tensions.
