Four people lost their lives in two distinct accidents in Bihar’s Gaya and Begusarai districts. In Begusarai, a couple, Nathuni Yadav (60) and Indu Devi (52), died after being hit by a speeding car marked with “Police.” The tragic incident occurred during their morning walk near the Srinagar Dhala area. The vehicle, a Renault car with registration number BR01HS6374, allegedly associated with a senior police official, caused fatal injuries to the couple.
Local residents protested by blocking the road with the bodies, resulting in a traffic jam on both sides. Police teams, including the Ballia DSP-led force, intervened to manage the situation. The bodies were taken into custody for post-mortem at the Sadar Hospital, Begusarai. The police have initiated legal procedures and registered a case of rash and negligent driving against the driver.
In Gaya, two young men lost their lives in a motorcycle collision near Kewali village on the Panchanpur main road. The victims, both married, faced the tragic accident. Family members and locals expressed anger through a road blockade, prompting police intervention to restore order and launch an investigation into the incident.
