Giving a new perspective to the tragic death of Ajit Pawar, a prominent figure in Maharashtra politics, leaders from Congress and Shiv Sena have expressed concerns about the plane crash that claimed his life along with four others. Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar highlighted that a significant portion of Maharashtra’s population harbors suspicions regarding the incident, especially questioning the sudden replacement of the pilot.
Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut also voiced doubts about the circumstances surrounding the plane crash, suggesting that Ajit Pawar faced pressure within the political alliance due to his intentions to unite different factions within the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Raut emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into Pawar’s untimely demise to uncover the truth behind the events leading to the tragedy.
Vijay Wadettiwar reiterated the public sentiment, stating that an impartial inquiry is essential as doubts persist over the accident, including discrepancies in the number of passengers on board and bodies recovered. Meanwhile, Sanjay Raut alleged that Ajit Pawar’s aspirations to reconcile NCP factions were met with opposition, with implications of political interference in his sudden demise.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) dismissed the allegations made by the Congress-led alliance, denouncing the exploitation of Pawar’s death for political gains. BJP’s Chitra Wagh refuted claims of any undue pressure on Ajit Pawar from the ruling coalition, emphasizing the need for a factual and unbiased examination of the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also entered the fray, suggesting a link between Ajit Pawar’s purported intention to leave the BJP and the subsequent fatal crash. The sequence of events leading to Pawar’s demise has sparked controversy and calls for a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
