The Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissionerate has initiated a significant crackdown on public alcohol consumption, resulting in legal action against 366 individuals. The Central Noida Zone police, under the supervision of DCP Shailendra Kumar Singh, identified and took action against the violators. This enforcement drive was conducted following the directives of Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh and targeted individuals found drinking in public areas under Section 292 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The police emphasized that consuming alcohol in public spaces can disrupt law and order, leading to disturbances in public peace. They highlighted the importance of monitoring such incidents closely to maintain order. The Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissionerate has affirmed that the crackdown on public drinking will persist, urging citizens to comply with regulations in public areas to uphold law and order.

Officials reiterated their commitment to ongoing enforcement actions to ensure peace and safety in the city. A recent special operation resulted in the arrest of 125 individuals across different parts of Gautam Buddha Nagar. The joint effort by police teams from Sector-63 and Ecotech-3 police stations aimed to combat substance abuse in public spaces, uphold law and order, and create a safer environment for residents and visitors.

During the operation, police teams targeted various public locations, including markets, roads, parks, and crowded areas where individuals were found violating laws by consuming alcohol and intoxicants. The Sector-63 police station took legal action against 72 individuals for similar violations, while the Ecotech-3 police station initiated proceedings against 53 people. In total, 125 individuals faced legal consequences as a result of the coordinated enforcement efforts.
