Actress Genelia Deshmukh has embarked on her new project, “Gunmaaster G9,” alongside Emraan Hashmi, marking it as a fresh start. She teased fans with a subtle peek into this venture on Instagram, showcasing a gentle side profile image with a “New Beginning” sticker and the hashtag “#GunmaasterG9.”
Directed by Aditya Datt, “Gunmaster G9” is an action-packed movie that also features Aparshakti Khurana. The film is a remake of the 1979 Indian spy classic, Surakksha, where Mithun Chakraborty portrayed the original Gunmaster G9 character. Himesh Reshammiya will be composing the music for this new adaptation.
In addition to her current project, Genelia will be seen in Ram Gopal Varma’s upcoming horror comedy, “Police Station Mein Bhoot,” alongside Manoj Bajpayee. This collaboration marks the first time Genelia and Manoj will share the screen, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film.
Genelia, who began her acting journey in 2003 with the Hindi film “Tujhe Meri Kasam,” gained prominence for her roles in Tamil cinema as well. Notable for her performances in romantic comedies like “Santosh Subramaniam” and “Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na,” she has a diverse filmography that includes various successful projects across different languages.
After a hiatus following her marriage to Riteish Deshmukh, with whom she has two sons, Genelia made a comeback with the Marathi film “Ved” in 2022, showcasing her versatility as an actress.
