Union Minister Giriraj Singh criticized Rahul Gandhi, proposing that the Congress be called the “Muslim-Maoist Party” due to the high number of Muslim candidates winning in Assam. Singh accused Gandhi of transforming the Congress into a “Maoist-Muslim Congress” since assuming power. He challenged Gandhi to verify if 98% of Congress winners in Assam are Muslim.
Singh further labeled Gandhi as an “Urban Naxal” and criticized the Congress for allegedly prioritizing Muslims over other communities. He suggested that Asaduddin Owaisi’s party is now redundant as the Congress has reportedly surpassed it in fielding Muslim candidates.
Responding to Owaisi’s objection to granting ‘Vande Mataram’ equal status as the national anthem, Singh emphasized the importance of respecting ‘Vande Mataram’ as a tribute to Bharat Mata. He stated that Sharia law would not be applicable in India, countering Owaisi’s views.
BJP IT Cell Chief Amit Malviya defended the decision to elevate ‘Vande Mataram,’ asserting its significance in India’s cultural heritage. Malviya argued that ‘Vande Mataram’ is a unifying element of India’s diverse society.
