A young girl, aged between three to five years, narrowly escaped a tragic fate but sustained severe injuries after being hit by a car in Shanti Niketan, a high-end residential neighborhood near Bombay Hospital in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place while the child was playing outside her home with another kid in the Shanti Niketan colony under Lasudia Police Station’s jurisdiction in Indore Zone-2. A video circulating on social media captured the moment when a car ran over one of the children, showing the harrowing event unfold. The CCTV footage revealed the children playing on the street as a gray car approached and hit one of them, causing the front wheel to roll over the child’s legs and the rear wheel over her body. Despite the traumatic incident, the child was seen trying to stand up on her own after the car left the scene.
Indore’s Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Zone-2, Amrendra Singh, confirmed the authenticity of the viral video and disclosed that the vehicle involved belonged to Sanjay Agarwar, a resident of Shanti Niketan colony. An FIR has been filed in connection with the incident captured in the video, which led to the seizure of the vehicle and initiation of legal proceedings. The car, owned by Sanjay Agarwar, was being driven by his driver at the time of the accident. The injured child suffered a leg injury and is currently receiving medical treatment for her injuries. This incident occurred just a week after another car accident involving a female software engineer, Shampa Pandey, in the upscale residential area of Shiv Vatika Township on March 26. Both incidents happened within a week under the jurisdiction of Lasudia Police Station, with arrests made in the case of Shampa Pandey’s accident involving Kuldeep Choudhary and his 18-year-old son Monish, who are currently under investigation.
