The India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi has convened global leaders, policymakers, and technology experts to discuss the potential of artificial intelligence and the importance of responsible governance. World Food Programme (WFP) Deputy Executive Director Carl Skau highlighted the agency’s advantage in AI deployment, citing vast data resources and a global logistics network. Skau emphasized the strategic use of AI, leveraging the agency’s supply chain capacity and expertise to enhance operations.
United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk underscored the need for ethical guidelines in AI development, cautioning against unchecked technological power. Turk emphasized the importance of ethical constraints to harness AI’s positive impact while mitigating risks. Lithuania’s Economy and Innovation Minister Edvinas Griksas praised the summit as a significant global platform for collaboration, particularly in the AI domain.
Anna Sytnik, CEO of Coordination Lab and a Russian university professor, commended the event’s organization and highlighted discussions on cyber peace and AI governance. Sytnik noted the strong public interest in the summit, with sessions attracting full attendance. The five-day summit has attracted participants from over 110 countries and 30 international organizations, including heads of state and ministers, emphasizing the event’s international scope and focus on inclusive AI-driven progress.
This edition marks the fourth in the series, following previous summits in the United Kingdom, South Korea, and France. Organizers anticipate the arrival of more dignitaries, reinforcing the summit’s commitment to fostering international collaboration and advancing AI-driven development.
