Union Minister of State for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr. Jitendra Singh, highlighted the government’s comprehensive support system for Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and other vulnerable groups from a young age. At the launch of the Jammu and Kashmir chapter of the Dr. Ambedkar Chamber of Commerce, Singh emphasized the importance of fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among marginalized communities.

Encouraging a shift from a traditional reliance on government jobs, Singh urged marginalized groups to explore entrepreneurship and investment opportunities. He emphasized the government’s initiatives aimed at empowering weaker sections, such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana for financial inclusion and the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana to enhance credit accessibility.

Singh also mentioned the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, focusing on preserving traditional skills while creating sustainable livelihoods. He noted the positive impact of these schemes on the socio-economic development of Dalits and other marginalized groups, leading to increased aspirations and visible progress in competitive exams, including civil services.
