The government introduced the Karmayogi Classroom to enhance AI-driven capacity building for civil servants. This new feature on the iGOT Karmayogi platform aims to provide contextual, interactive, and personalized learning experiences. Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, highlighted the platform’s shift towards role-based training for officers, promoting clarity, accountability, and outcome-focused approaches.
The iGOT platform incorporates AI tools like AI Saarthi, AI Tutor, and AI-based Capacity Building Plans to offer tailored learning paths and improve planning and delivery efficiency across ministries. Singh emphasized the importance of AI as a supportive tool that complements human intelligence, advocating for a hybrid approach to enhance governance outcomes. He stressed the continuous need for learning in governance to address evolving challenges, citizen demands, and technological advancements.
Singh underlined the significance of combining Artificial Intelligence with human intelligence to create a responsive and efficient public administration for the future. He noted that while traditional systems helped officers qualify for service, they often fell short in preparing them for the diverse responsibilities they would undertake in their careers. The Mission Karmayogi initiative has expanded to cover officials at various levels, including newly recruited officers through Mission Karmayogi Prarambh, enabling them to tackle real-world administrative challenges from the outset.
Chhavi Bhardwaj, CEO of Karmayogi Bharat, emphasized the pivotal role of iGOT as the core digital infrastructure for public sector capacity building. With over 1.5 crore learners and more than 6.7 crore course completions, iGOT has become a key platform for enhancing skills and knowledge in the public sector.
