The Central government has established the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for wheat at Rs 2,585 per quintal for the Rabi Marketing Season 2026-27 in Gujarat. Wheat procurement at MSP will be conducted by the Gujarat State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. to ensure fair prices for farmers.
To sell wheat at MSP, farmers in Gujarat need to register online at the village level through VCEs between February 1 and March 1, 2026. Registration involves biometric authentication of farmer account holders. The wheat procurement at MSP is scheduled from March 4 to May 15, 2026.
Farmers are required to have documents such as Aadhaar card copies, updated village records, 7/12 and 8-A land records, and proof of crop sowing for registration. If crop details are missing in land records, a certificate from the Talati is necessary.
Authorities emphasize the need for farmers to provide bank account details, a bank passbook copy, or a cancelled cheque during registration. Registered farmers will receive procurement schedules through SMS alerts.
During procurement, farmers must carry their Aadhaar card or a valid ID for biometric authentication. Any discrepancies or false documents found during verification will lead to registration cancellation without notification.
Online registration is compulsory for selling wheat at MSP, and farmers are advised to seek help from their gram panchayats if needed. Helpline numbers 8511171718 and 8511171719 are available for farmers facing registration difficulties.
